Public Policy Relevance Statement In this study, Bedouin mothers were asked about their ideas of risk and protection related to children. The results suggest that risk for children is affected by many contextual variables and may be defined differently in different cultural contexts.
Parental perceptions can help in understanding the unique variables and inform both the training of professionals and culturally sensitive intervention programs.
